Everest Poker Sends 39 Players to World Series of Poker Side Event 49

The online poker room gave 39 of its best players the chance to compete in the WSOP event 49, held during the first several days of the World Series of Poker event at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Montreal, QC (PRWeb) July 08, 2007 – Everest Poker has sent 39 players to the World Series of Poker Side Event #49, held at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

"The WSOP side event is exploding in popularity," said Jonathan May, Everest Poker property manager. "This year's event saw 3200 players joining in the game, compared to less than 500 in 2006."

Of the participating Everest Poker players, three ended up in the money. Mikael Johansson (Sofia19) from Sweden finished 192, earning $3871. Close behind with Francisco Lopez (pakito) from the Everest Poker Spanish team finished at 217, earning $3,441. Rounding out the three was Albes Danal (chefe) from Germany. He placed 225th and earned $3,441.

"I'm tempted to say that our party at the Palms was even more enjoyable than the actual event," added May. "All of our players got some of that trademark Everest Poker hospitality."

The thirty-nine players who made it to the WSOP Side Event received a gift bag loaded with Everest Poker swag and enjoyed a part at the world-famous Palms Hotel and Casino. In addition to free food and drinks, they also got some tantalizing hints about upcoming events such as the Everest Poker Avalanche finale and the Everest Poker European Cup.
