Everest Poker Announces The First Everest Poker European Championship

On the heels of its successful relationships with the French Poker Tour and German Poker Players Association, Everest Poker is pleased to announce the launch of its own Everest Poker European Championship.

Montreal, Quebec (March 5, 2006)—

On the heels of its successful relationships with the French Poker Tour and German Poker Players Association, Everest Poker is pleased to announce the launch of its own Everest Poker European Championship.

This pan-European championship is a one-of-a-kind event, consisting of live freeroll satellites throughout Europe and online satellites at EverestPoker.com, all leading up to the championship freeroll final with a 50,000€ prize pool.

Live satellites will be held in Germany, France, Sweden, the Netherlands, Spain, Norway, Denmark and Italy. All qualifiers for the final event will have the 500€ buy-in paid for, and each qualifier will also receive 400€ for travel expenses.

The inaugural stage of the Everest Poker European Championship starts in Germany on Friday, March 3. Karin Schmidt, Everest Poker's German Marketing Manager said, "Everest Poker had a wildly successful collaboration with the German Poker Tour, and we are very pleased to be bringing more thrilling poker and tremendous prizes to German poker players." Ms. Schmidt added: “Everest Poker is committed to bringing not only online poker to Germany, but the excitement of live-action poker as well."

The European Championship is part of Everest Poker's effort to bring poker fun and learning to local communities across Europe at a more grass roots level. Players will also have the pride of representing their country in the final event, and have the chance to compete against other European poker players in the same manner that Everest Poker already allows via online play — all while playing for a share of the 50,000€ prize pool.
